Master in “Studies in Language and Culture” 2012/2013
*** Objectives of the program:
– To equip students with broad skills in the area of language, literature and culture studies;
– To provide an opportunity for students to explore the connection between theory and research in areas relating to language and culture;
– To develop in-depth comprehension and analysis of theoretical and descriptive disciplines of language, literature and culture.
*** Admission requirements:
– BA with Honors in English Studies (Linguistics, Literature, Culture, English Language Teaching);
– A good mastery of English;
– Background knowledge in the relevant disciplines
*** Selection procedures:
– Pre-selection
– Written test
– Interview
*** Required documents:
Documents to be submitted are:
– Application letter addressed to the dean of the Faculty of Letters and Human Sciences, El Jadida;
– A copy of CIN;
– Official copies of diplomas;
– Official copies of transcripts;
– Up-to-date Curriculum Vitae;
– Cover letter;
– Two letters of recommendation;
– A three-page summary of the BA monograph;
– A one-page "statement of purpose" focusing on the reasons behind the students’ decision to pursue a Master in language and Culture
– Two self-addressed envelopes;
– Authorisation to pursue Master studies for employees;
*** Calendar:
– The deadline for applications submission: September, 24th, 2012.
– Posting of the candidates: September, 28th, 2012.
– Written test + Interview: October, 12th, 2012.
– Posting of the list pf accepted candidates: October, 15th, 2012.
– Class start: October, 22th, 2012.
